Peak Body for Water Polo in Australia

Water Polo Australia (WPA) is recognised by the International Federation World Aquatics, the Australian Sports Commission and the Australian Olympic Committee as the peak governing body for the sport in Australia.

Our sport’s long and proud history is the foundation for an exciting and future. WPA represents an inclusive and growing community, talent pathways, sanctioned competitions and a connected eco-system of clubs.

We are guided by our Strategic Plan and have strong collaboration with our seven affiliated State and Territory Associations.

WPA is the home of the Ord Minnett Aussie Stingers and Ord Minnett Aussie Sharks who are admired by the Australian public and feared by international competitors. Our national age-group teams regularly produce world-class athletes, supported by a network of high-performance partners including the Australian Institute of Sport and State Academy programs.

2032+ Powered By Purpose

Our purpose is to future-proof Water Polo in Australia. Guided by our long-term Strategic Plan, 2032+ Powered By Purpose, we are committed to building a sustainable, innovative, high-performing sport that celebrates strong values.
